This is the robot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000...

When I brought home a Roboquad robot the other day and started playing with it, our resident guardian K9 was none too pleased. I decided to put Roboquad in "autonomous" mode, set his aggression level to high, and let the battle unfold.

From http://www.demonbaby.com

Note: The robot is acting fully on its own, I was not controlling it in any way.

Hattie gets some good air.  Almost needs a parachute.  Love the slow motion in reverse which looks for all the world like Hattie is throwing the Frisbee.  Wonder what kind of camera and editing that took.

Bearded collies shed mud but not fur (though they do get matted).

xx Open Letter to the Obama Family on a Matter of Some Urgency

Open Letter to the Obama Family on a Matter of Some Urgency

Dear First Family-Elect,

Straight to the point, the fate of the free world is in your hands and your family will need a vessel into which it may pour its unconditional love and receive the same in return in the form of a gentle, unceasingly playful and hypo-allergenic "hair dog" known as a Scottish Sheepdog-Bearded Collie-Beardie, an extremely playful, yet hard-working and highly intelligent animal, that loves to herd families together.

It's a working dog who's original job was to herd sheep and who looks something like one.  Technically, this makes it a genomic wolf in sheep's clothing, but that's overthinking the issue.  In Scotland, they would guard the herd through rugged treks through the highlands, sometimes in excess of 200 miles.  Then they would return home unaccompanied after their job of bringing the flock to market was successfully completed.

It is an extremely agile and athletic dog, easily trained to play Frisbee and soccer.  (Unbeatable on defense in soccer and not too bad on offense.)  Fast as lightening, a Beardie can catch a Frisbee on the fly ("four paws up") from as far away as you can throw one.  They can also catch deer which can result in a lost tooth.  I speak from experience on this point.  It is a healthy animal that will last you through both your first, second, third and fourth administrations.

In any event, the www.DoggyWorks.com, www.WorkingDogWorks.com and www.AmericanaWorks.com communities wish you great success in this and all things.

I will remain intact and on-call should you wish to take your pick of the litter.

Faithfully yours,

Buddy,
